Webinar 3: Mental Health and Sport
On September 23, 2020, She's4Sports and Canadian Women & Sport hosted a powerful talk on mental health and sport. The panel of experts included:

The panel addressed how athletes are dealing with the challenges of Covid-19 , racial injustice, anxiety and other forms of mental health. They further discussed wellness resources and sport mental health approaches that can support athletes and coaches.
Maria Montejo, Manager of Dodem Kanonhsa’ Indigenous Education and Cultural Facility in Toronto provided her perspective of indigenous education and wellness practices from her community. Maria has worked for many years as a mental health and addictions treatment worker. She is (Deer clan) and a member of the Mam Jakaltec/Popti (Mayan) community of Indigenous people who reside in the Xajla territory of Guatemala.
